Who we are? We are a community of Oromo Americans called to proclaim the liberating power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to serve all God’s children in His name. Read more… Christ Centered Oromo Evangelical Church of Washington DC, believes and confess that our faith in the Triune God—Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We trust and believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, that all human beings are sinners, and that sinners are redeemed by His death and resurrection. God alone justifies human beings by faith in Christ—a faith which God creates through the message of the Gospel. Biblically Grounded Oromo Evangelical Church of Washington DC, believes, confess and teaches, and upholds the truth of God’s Word, that the Bible is God’s revealed Word to us, spoken in Law and Gospel. The Bible is the source and norm of our ministry, and the final authority for us in all matters of our faith and life. Serving the whole person Evangelical Church of Washington DC, believes our mandate to be bringing the whole gospel of salvation in Christ in its fullest sense—forgiveness of sins, inner conversion of individuals in regeneration and sanctification, physical and emotional healing. People Mattered to God – and to us Our main purpose is bringing the transforming Gospel of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17) to the Oromo Speaking Communities in the Greater Washington, DC and beyond in a language and culture meaningful to them. The goal of our ministry is to transform people into fully devoted followers of Christ (Matthew 28:18-20, Ephesians 4:11-16).
